Antique Victorian Gold and Diamond Large Open Crescent Brooch, 3.8 ctw
Enchanting, Bold.
Celestial bodies have long been a source of inspiration for personal adornments. The moon has traditionally been associated with feminine power and transformation — themes resonant in the Victorian era, which witnessed vast social and industrial change.
This late 19th century diamond open crescent is one of the prettiest and largest we have had. We swoon for the 21 deliciously chunky old mine diamonds studding the crescent — made even whiter by contrast to the rich yellow gold setting.
Dramatic and glamorous at the lapel, neckline, collar, waistband or hair. We think it is perfection as a brooch, but of course, it can be converted to a pendant or necklace by your bench jeweler or ours.
Wear solo, or cluster it with other celestial jewels. The possibilities are myriad.
Please contact us if you wish to discuss conversion by us, at an additional fee to be determined.
