Antique Gold and Gemstone Pansy Pendant (1.16 CTW Rubies, Emeralds, Diamonds)
Antique Gold and Gemstone Pansy Pendant (1.16 CTW Rubies, Emeralds, Diamonds)
Sentimental, Exuberant.
We are delighted to offer a rather charming and colorful pendant in the form of a pansy — a flower whose name is derived from the French “pensée,” meaning “thought.” In Victorian times, when flowers carried secret messages, pansies signified thoughts of love.
This pansy has so much brilliant color — encrusted with a mélange of cushion cut natural rubies and emeralds, as well as antique rose cut diamonds. Even in low light, this gemstone pansy shines, but in the sunshine? The effect is definitively “Wow”! (Just see the video).
We love this as a standalone pendant or added to a sentimental, layered neckstack. Now, as in the past, this pansy would be a wonderful gift to express thoughts of affection and love.
Chains and other pendant shown are not included.
Unmarked.
14k gold, diamond, ruby (Burmese), emerald (Colombian)
Dimensions and weight:
● 27.5 mm long (including bail)/20.5 mm long (not including bail)
● 16.5 mm wide
● 2.8 mm deep
● 1.16 ctw gemstones - comprised of .35 ctw rubies, .60 ctw emeralds, .21 ctw diamonds

*Please note that all dimensions and weights are approximate. Age-commensurate wear may be present. By way of origins story, we learned anecdotally that this pendant was once part of a bejeweled gold case (can you imagine!) — perhaps itself a gift of one lover to another. We will never know the full story, except that this gemstone encrusted pansy can continue to bring love into the life of its next custodian. Conversion is beautifully done.
