(SOLD) Antique Edwardian-Era Russian Chain of a "Thousand Rings"

(SOLD) Antique Edwardian-Era Russian Chain of a "Thousand Rings"
Artisanal, Silken.
A favorite link of ours. We have had several of these intricate antique chains, all of them Russian. Five rings of gold form each link, for a total of thousands of rings forming this supple chain. This chain is presumed to be Russian — likely once a full length guard chain divided sometime in the past among heirs, losing the marks typically at the end loops and clasps of these types of chains. We found this beauty with a later-added clasp, which we removed, and re-fitted with open ended loops at the ends — perfect for completion with a Luck and Lockets Lucky 8 clasp and charmholder. The curves of the Lucky 8 and the links marry so well. Wear long or doubled, lariat-style, with or without pendants. A gorgeous old world chain, in a rich yellow gold with the slightest hint of rose. Feels wonderful on the body.
Note the chain is sold without a clasp.
Note also that following the initial listing and photography, we adjusted the chain to remove the links nearest the ends that showed some minor heat discoloration. See final (third) photo for the current end links and loops. Feel free to contact us for any current photos required..
Unmarked.
14k gold.
Dimensions and weight:
● 31.25 inches long
