Selection of Essential Gold Chains
We are a believer in having chains in multiples that can be called upon for daily duty. These three are workhorses. The paper clip is a classic, in proportions that draw attention, but not to overwhelm. The Marettimo chain is a cousin to the paper clip, with a clean and lean presence. The Forte dei Marmi chain is sleek and sophisticated, with links reminiscent of antique watch chains.
Wear any of these solo, layered, with or without pendants. Perhaps the best part? The links are open, allowing you to adjust the length shorter simply by clasping at any link.
These chains are priced below our original prices, as we are no longer keeping these chains in our stock inventory (once sold out, we may be able to source on demand).
Chain A. Contemporary Paper Clip chain (Estate) (Top chain in photo worn on the body)
Marked 750, Italy, and maker’s mark.
18k gold.
Dimensions and weight:
● 18 inches long
● Each link is 14.5 mm long x 4.5 mm wide x 1.1 mm deep
● 10.4 grams
Swivel lobster clasp. Can be clasped at any length due to open shape of links. Note that the link construction is “semi-hollow” (meaning there is some space in the interior of each link), but of course it is solid 18k, substantial, and strong. This chain is from our personal collection and is in excellent (near new) condition.
Chain B. Contemporary “Marettimo” Chain (New) (Middle chain in photo worn on the body)
Marked 585, Italy.
14k gold.
Dimensions and weight:
● 20.5 inches long
● Each link is 10.5 mm long x 4.4 mm wide x 1.1 mm deep
● 17.1 grams
Larger lobster claw clasp. Can be clasped at any length due to open shape of links.
C. Contemporary “Forte dei Marmi” Chain (New) (Bottom chain in photo worn on the body)
Marked 14k, Italy.
14k gold.
Dimensions and weight:
● 30 inches long
● 2.5 mm wide x .8 mm deep
● 14.6 grams
Lobster claw clasp.
*Please note that all dimensions and weights are approximate.
