(SOLD) Antique Imperial Russian Old Cut Diamond and Gold Curb Link Bracelet
(SOLD) Antique Imperial Russian Old Cut Diamond and Gold Curb Link Bracelet
Time Traveler, Survivor.
This diamond and gold curb link bracelet has such a modern, cool girl “masculin/féminine” vibe, but shhhh, she in fact is late 19th century, Imperial Russian, as borne out by the hallmarks. This rare treasure dates to the bygone world of Tsar Nicholas (if not before). Think of the long and tumultuous history witnessed by this jewel.
Ten white diamonds line the length of the bracelet, interspersed among the curb link. They are old mine cuts, casting that delightful old world sparkle — a perfect foil for the square edged curb links.
Wear this with everything and everyday. You will receive compliments and others will covet, but know that no one else will find another — at least not without lottery level luck and serendipity!
Marked with Russian double element gold hallmark for 56 zolotnik and the town mark for St. Petersburg (in use 1847-98), along with the French St. Jacques shell mark for 14k jewelry imported into France.
Gold is yellow, with a touch of rosiness — a distinctively antique shade.
