(SOLD) Antique Victorian Etruscan Revival 5 Gemstone Double Sided Bangle

Here we have a Victorian bangle, circa 1880, performing double duty. One side is studded with 5 juicy flush set gemstones, emphasized by engraved rayed star points. The central cushion cut very fine deep blue sapphire is flanked by 2 antique rose cut diamonds and 2 rubies. All of this is edged by Etruscan Revival granulation and wirework in just the right amount — complementing, not upstaging the gemstones.
The other side is gorgeously streamlined and subtle — all gold, with clean and textural Etruscan Revival granulation and wirework. The rich 15k yellow gold has the most beautiful, soft, original patina.
The bangle is hinged on the side, closing with an integrated box clasp; a discreet safety figure 8 latch is also present (a later addition).
We love wearing this bangle with the gemstones facing out one day, and the next turning this over and showing off the all-gold side. Both sides are stunning in their own special way. This is one of our favorite bangle discoveries.
