(SOLD) Antique "Faithful Love" Crowned Heart Ring
A late Georgian era cleftless heart of royal blue glass is set in a crowned frame of gold and silver, set with pyrites, giving an impression of antique diamonds. The pyrites are a mélange of hand-cut and more recent replacement stones. The back and shank are yellow gold, skillfully added later to the heart. A release from our personal collection, found in Paris.
A crowned heart is a symbol of faithful love, and this was certainly a dear, sentimental treasure over many years.
Marked with French owl.
14k to 18k gold, silver, pyrite.
Dimensions and weight:
● 22 mm long
● 12 mm wide
● 4.6 grams
● Ring size US 5 (fits like a snug 5)
Period: Victorian and Georgian
Note: Wear is visible to the glass and pyrites. Overall, however, the ring presents beautifully.
*Please note that all dimensions and weights are approximate. Age-commensurate wear may be present.
*For deliveries outside of the continental U.S., please contact us for shipping information.
