(SOLD) The Deconstructed Series (VI): Antique Edwardian Slim Curb Link Guard Chain (2.6 mm)
Slinky, Supple.
In the Decontructed Series, we reconfigure classic Victorian and Edwardian long chains for modern versatility. Here, we have an Edwardian long guard chain (circa 1916), in a classic flat, light reflective curb link. We have deconstructed the long chain into three shorter, layerable, multi-tasking chains. Wear one, two, or all three — experimentation is invited. A fourth chain — a short extender chain — adds length to any chain.
The chains are finished on each end with handmade open loops, ready for your Luck and Lockets Lucky 8 Clasps and Charmholders. These chains are supple and slinky, with an ever so slightly rosy hue characteristic of antique chains. Offered for the first week from listing as a full set with the extender chain, and thereafter individually.
Lucky 8 Clasps and Charmholders are not included.
Marked 14k, 1916 with maker’s mark on the extender chain only.
14k gold.
Dimensions and weight:
● Chain 1: 17 inches long, 9.2 grams
● Chain 2: 19 inches long, 10.2 grams
● Chain 3: 24 inches long, 13.2 grams
● Chain 4: 4 inches long,, 2.4 grams
● 2.6 mm wide
● 1 mm deep
● 35 grams total
● Loops measure approximately 5.6 mm long x 4.5 mm wide (inside dimensions) (there may be slight variations, as they are handmade)
