Large faceted oblong beads alternate with carved round beads — all hand carved from Whitby jet. The beads are graduated and retain wonderful glossy luster and carved detailing. Exceptional and rare to find such large beads. The decorative box clasp has initials inscribed. Freshly re-strung. Wonderful for the collector of Whitby jet or Victorian mourning jewelry and very wearable. Circa 1880.
