(SOLD) Antique Early 19th Century French Citrine and Gold Maltese Cross Brooch
Add come sunshine to any day. An early 19th century brooch (ca. 1830) is crafted in gold, citrine, and citrine pastes in the form of a stylized Maltese cross.
We love wearing this to anchor a long chain or popping it onto the lapel of a menswear blazer for some instant glamor. Pin this to a wide velvet ribbon choker. Orient vertically or horizontally.
Chain shown not included.
Marked with French eagle’s head at the C-catch and pin stem.
18k, citrine (the four largest stones, and one small stone at the tip of the brooch), citrine paste (the remaining stones).
Dimensions and weight:
● 25 mm long
● 47.7 mm wide
● 4.5 mm deep (not including pin)
● 9.0 grams
Period: Georgian
*Please note that all dimensions and weights are approximate. Age-commensurate wear may be present, including abrasions to the paste gemstones, likely antique replacement of or repair to pin and catch, and regilding.
*For deliveries outside of the continental U.S., please contact us for shipping information.
